Lawn Renovation

Sometimes a lawn can be in such poor condition that a full renovation is required.  This means either re-seeding or re-turfing is required. In order to prepare the area to receive seed or turf a variety of procedures will be undertaken:

• Kill the existing grass, weeds and moss on the lawn
• Deep scarify with solid steel blades to remove all excess thatch, achieving a near ‘scorched earth’ appearance or cut away the old turf with our turf cutter.
• Aerate/rotavate the area to ensure the soil can ‘breath’ so that is can support new grass plants.
• Rake/scarify/ heel-toe the area to create the fine tilth needed to promote seed germination or turf rooting.
• Reseed or re-turf the area
